Sunny Deol
Physical Therapist, MScPT
Hi I'm Sunny!

I've always had a passion for movement, sport, and understanding how the human body works. Growing up, I played competitive basketball and volleyball and trained in karate and kickboxing. These days, I've traded some of the competition for a strong interest in Olympic weightlifting. Along the way, I've also had my fair share of injuries!

It was actually my own experiences with physiotherapy that inspired me to pursue a career in the profession. I went on to complete my BSc in Kinesiology at Dalhousie University in Halifax before returning home to Alberta to complete my Master of Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta.

Over the years, I've developed a special interest in the assessment and treatment of jaw dysfunction, facial pain, and related musculoskeletal conditions. I use evidence-based approaches to help people better understand their pain and get back to doing the things they enjoy.

I'm also passionate about education and mentorship. I've had the opportunity to teach in the University of Alberta's physiotherapy program and provide advanced training in temporomandibular disorders (TMD) to other healthcare professionals. I also serve as a Clinical Director with Special Olympics Alberta, a role I'm incredibly honoured and proud to be a part of.

Most recently, my partner, our three dogs, and I made the move to Devon. We've quickly come to appreciate the welcoming, close-knit feel of the community, and I'm genuinely excited to call Devon home.

I'm looking forward to getting to know the people of Devon and surrounding communities and being part of the community for many years to come. I'm excited to meet you, hear your story, and help you move toward the things that matter most to you.
